Presenting My 2019 Planner Lineup

I think I’m close to finding the elusive “planner peace”, achieved once you have found a planner setup or system that works for you and is actively used to help achieve your goals.

If you look around the internet, you will see planners that are mostly decorative, mostly functional, or somewhere in between. If you are not using the planner, it does not matter what it looks like; it can be the most beautiful planner in all the land, or it can be a no-frills notebook you found while KonMari-ing your house. If you do not look at it outside of decorating once or writing one thing down, it is just a paperweight and not beneficial.

This stack includes a lot of planners, which you may find overwhelming. Don’t think you aren’t a planner, or think you cannot benefit from planner tips if your setup does not look like mine. Are you using some type of system, whether on paper or digital, to keep track of your life and what you need to do? You are a planner. Just write down lists of things to check off on whatever scrap piece of paper you have handy? You are a planner.

From bottom to top, here are my planners:

I am serious about the baby step life y’all!

I am trying out this planner and it does not actually leave the house. I use it to try and see how different planner kits look and plan to use it to test measurements for stickers and the like.

  1. Erin Condren Deluxe Monthly Planner

EC deluxe

This is my budget notebook, the insides of which you see all the time in my financial planning posts. It generally needs to stay at home, but I have been carrying it when I can to catch up when I have time. Notice the cover says Year One. I know my debt free journey will take several years to complete, and this simple phrase on the cover helps remind me to stay the course.

  1. Happy Planner classic-sized Frankenplanned Transformer planner

Each section has its own cover so it looks like several different planners in one.

I carry this planner with me, and it has six sections in it to cover all parts of my life. I carry two months at a time in each section: catch all, budget, fitness, social media, blog/schedule, and dashboard. I will go into more detail about each specific part of this planner in a later post.

  1. Erin Condren Coiled Notebook

My first Erin Condren purchase. Original cover was the budget notebook cover.

I use this notebook for writing blog posts on the go and tracking ideas.

  1. Erin Condren Petite Planners

EC petite planner

The daily petite planner set is a set of four separate books (one for each quarter) with one page per weekday, and the weekends (Saturday and Sunday) share a page. In this notebook I am more detailed and specific about plans, as I have the space to do so. These small notebooks come bound, but I cut them and then hole-punched the pages to put the Happy Planner discs on. In this way, I can take out pages as I need to. I also just recently made my own cover using cardstock, trying to be good and not buy any planner supplies for the moment.

  1. Happy Planner Mini Socialite Planner

I just recently added this mini to my lineup (although I used a mini as my everyday carry last year and loved it, adding different sections as needed). I use this planner for end of day reflections and as a journaling tool to help settle my thoughts at the end of the day. I feel this will aid on my wellness journey.

What kind of system do you use?

  1. I literally started using a planner this week…just one though. It is divided into different sections that allow me track goals, plans, and anything else. I use the Notes for journaling. The financial planner is digital for easy reference purposes. I guess I have two planners lol. This is timely! Thanks for sharing.
