30 Days of Wellness: Days 6 – 10

I found a great, low-impact cardio workout that only takes 10 minutes! This is not sponsored in any shape, form, or fashion, but I’ve been using this video off and on, and I really like it.

Why do I like this workout?

  • The workout is only 10 minutes – great when you’re telling yourself you don’t have time. By the time I get through thinking of all the reasons why I can’t work out, I could have been more than halfway finished.
  • Low impact, but does get the heart rate up. I have seen a few videos that were almost no impact. A good option for some people, but I do have some mobility. I need to feel like I’m doing something.
  • The view, demonstrations, and pacing are good. In my quest to find workouts, I have seen many that are shot from an angle that does not clearly demonstrate what I am supposed to be doing, or says it is for beginners, but then obviously assumes I know what I’m doing. (eye roll)
  • Last, but definitely not least, she gives you options to increase the intensity of the workout, and does not shame you if you can only do the beginner movements.

It really is great for everyone. Give it a try and let me know what you think!

Day 6 Results

  • Steps: 6665
  • Water: Forgot to record – there was no water available in my office, so I know I didn’t have any at work 🙁
  • Fitbit Active Minutes: 31

Day 7 Results

  • Steps: 6600
  • Water: 48 oz. 
  • Fitbit Active Minutes: 29
  • Went to gym: 12 minutes on the elliptical, 12:21 on the bike, 3 min. stretch before and 5 min. stretch after

Day 8 Results – Today was a super lazy day.

  • Steps: 3681
  • Water: Forgot to keep up with my water intake, but I know it wasn’t much 
  • Fitbit Active Minutes: 0

Day 9 Results – Hard to come back after such a super lazy day yesterday

  • Steps: 3553
  • Water: 32 oz. 
  • Fitbit Active Minutes: 0

Day 10 Results

  • Steps: 4925
  • Water: 20 oz. 
  • Fitbit Active Minutes: 12
  • Peloton – 5 min full body stretch, 10 min Intro to Shadowboxing

Sooo step goal only met 2 of these 5 days, but I was active for at least 10 minutes on 3 of the 5 days. Water intake…since I don’t record when I drink a bottle of water until I finish it, I think this is hindering my tracking somewhat. I will think about it and see how I can change it up.
