#Plannerbabe

I’m a #plannerbabe.

Generally, I’m not a fan of the word “babe.” It doesn’t make my skin crawl like “shawty” (even though I’m from the A, I’ve stopped talking to people who could not stop saying it) or make me take a deep breath like “bae.” There’s no particular reason why I’m not a fan, but in general conversation, there are dozens of other terms (of endearment) I prefer.

But in the planner community, planner babe is a common term for planner enthusiasts like myself.

I’ve always been one to write things down – the advent of digital, more portable apps and tools has done nothing to curb my enthusiasm for paper and pen. I don’t consider myself a traditionally artistic person (I can draw a straight line with a ruler 7 times out of 10 – maybe 8), but I’ve historically liked using highlighters and pens of varying colors to distinguish categories of what I was writing.

Then a little over a year ago, I discovered bullet journaling (https://bulletjournal.com/). Creator Ryder Carroll calls it a methodology, but it spoke to my soul for the need to write things down and have them in front of you. But in creating my own bullet journal, I found I wasn’t (I felt) artistic enough to create the look of the pages I wanted, but artistic enough to want more than just words on a page.

I discovered The Happy Planner, and then was re-introduced to Erin Condren. Side note: I loved the look of an Erin Condren when it was first shown to me by a coworker, but the $75 price tag she quoted made me pass her notebook back to her very quickly.

I fell down the rabbit hole. I’m also a #planneraddict. Feel free to check out my instagram for some of my previous planner posts.

My current lineup consists of a classic-sized Happy Planner, a mini-sized Happy Planner, and an Erin Condren deluxe monthly planner that I use as my budget notebook.

Go ahead and admit it. Without even seeing the inside you can see a bit of the appeal.

I know you can.
